Starion is looking for an MBSE Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. Reporting to the Programme Manager for National Accounts, you will play a key role in advancing Digital Engineering capabilities, supporting the implementation and delivery of innovative solutions across both internal programmes and customer projects.

Tasks and Activities

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Develop and enhance system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related systems engineering artefacts.
• Provide expert support and guidance on Capella modelling and MBSE methodologies.
• Build proficiency in and leveraging Starion Digital Engineering tools, including CDP4-COMET.
• Drive requirements engineering activities, working closely with users and stakeholders to capture and refine system requirements.
• Contribute to the evolution of MBSE practices, supporting the adaptation of MBSE approaches to the Maritime and Naval sector.
• Support and contribute to project delivery, including Project Management activities and, where required, undertaking Project Manager responsibilities.
• Perform and support requirements verification and validation activities, ensuring model consistency and quality.
• Play a key role in proposal development, providing MBSE expertise to support Starion’s business and project opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have;

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Demonstrated experience within the Maritime and Naval sector.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience supporting or delivering Project Management activities.
• Intermediate to expert-level proficiency with Capella.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies, standards, languages, and tools (e.g. SysML v1/v2, ECSS-E-TM-10-25A) would be considered an asset.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
